OTHER GREAT PEOPLE AND GROUPS
Webster's Bookstore Café, 128 South Allen Street, State College, PA
The LAST independent bookseller in State College, the CENTRAL community gathering, the BEST coffee in town! Owned by one of my best friends, Elaine Meder-Wilgus. Elaine has been a force in my life, and has supported me along the way, from the very first steps I took to doing the work I do as an activist. Gratitude doesn't cover it.

Chris Nelson - Web Master, Designer, Photographer, and Truly Wonderful Person
Chris is responsible for my website, and it is his work, dedication and generosities of spirit that have made my site possible, and keeps it looking the way that it does. Huge gratitude to Chris for making this all happen, and for making the world a better place.

Lenny Foster, Award-Winning Photographer, Writer, and Gentle Spirit
Lenny is often jokingly referred to as “The Unofficial Mayor of Taos” because of his willingness to be completely present and open with people, a quality that has allowed him to know so many people after so many years of living in Taos, New Mexico. His photography seems to capture that one moment, piece after piece, when spirit has paused, so briefly, to fully appear.

The Mighty-Mighty-Wiggus, Bill Wilgus - Producer, Guitarist, Designer, Amazing Person
Mighty-Mighty is responsible for the design of the compact disc the scorched earth: spoken, and for the support and encouragement that he offered to help me release it. Bill has been one of my best friends for years, and like his wife, Elaine Meder-Wilgus, he has supported me along the way, from the first steps I took to own my life the way I do now. I wrote the poem, The Dream Before Us (on the poems page) for them on their wedding day. The two of them have taught me more about love than I can even explain. And no one plays a guitar the way Bill does.

Bob Klotz - Producer, Sound Engineer
Bob is responsible for my compact disc, the scorched earth: spoken, which is the companion to my first chapbook, the scorched earth. Bob recorded the live tracks on this compact disc, and handled all of its production, in addition to the MP3 page on the books/CDs/films page of this site. Bob is one of the people for whom I am most grateful.

Judy Walgren DeHass, Pulitzer-Prize Winning Photojournalist, Warrior-Woman
Judy, like her photography, is amazing: Bared, utterly honest, and compelling. Judy took a few of the black-and-white shots on my site during a trip we took to NYC in 2003. The cover photo of the documentary short film about my work, One Woman’s Voice, taken in front of the New York Public Library, was one of those shots. Judy remains an inspiration to me, as she was when we first met in Taos, NM years ago.

Diana Rico, Author, Producer, Journalist, and Pilgrim
Diana is one of the blessings that arrived in my life during my Poet-In-Residence Fellowship at The Helen Wurlitzer Foundation during 2007/2008. Our sense of connection was immediate and multi-layered, and our friendship has offered insight, support, encouragement, and a tremendous sense of adventure not only in terms of writing, but also in terms of life as a spiritual unfolding. Diana’s way of being in the world, living and working, exemplifies the combination of the arts and social issues and integrity that I so respect.

Andy Tollins - Bluesman of the highest order
Andy also recorded the majority of the compact disc, the scorched earth: spoken, and has supported me over the years with a huge heart. Huge gratitude for that support and for his music, which makes me want to only dance. Check him out with one of his bands at www.porkchomoney.comm
Paul Pascarella - Artist
Paul is one of the finest artists I know... painter, motorcycle-racing mad man, wicked good cook. He is the Paul for whom the poem He Paint Buffalo was written, which is published in Earthships: The New Mexico Poetry Anthology, 2007.

William J. Cobb, Author, Full Professor, Department of English, Penn State University
Bill is the author of The Fire Eaters, The White Tattoo, and his latest novel, Goodnight Texas. My poem The Road To Dora was written about Bill and his wife, Elizabeth May, who is also a great poet, novelist and short-story writer, taking me to a ghost town in southern Colorado, called Dora, during my visits to their home in West Cliffe, Colorado. What they both bring to their writing, their teaching, their marriage and lives together perpetually amaze me.
